attention budding rock stars…

Posted on 19 Sep 2010 at 1:13 am

It has come to our attention that there are a lot of budding rock stars that walk through our doors daily.

We here at Bumper think its only fair that we help you along your journey to superstardom with a selection of instructional videos that will help you rock out harder.

First off – the front man. Forget your Jim Morrison’s and your Robert Plant’s, they never LEARNT, if you want to sing – get a voice teacher. Allow us to let you in on a little secret – “singing lessons cost a lot of money because they aren’t cheap”.
[oh, and she doesn't have any students at the moment, so book quickly to secure your place!]

Cool, now you can sing, congratulations.

NEXT: performance.

don’t get over excited:

But DO get carried away…

Now, although you do go drinking and clubbing, you might not find your perfect band mates in dark clubs. However you find them – make sure you love them. The road to the almighty throne of rock infamy is long and hard tread… Try not to fall out.

You can always try to find band mates at Craigslist, Ebay or AdultFriendFinder.com…

When thinking about your first gig – its always wise to put a good cover in.

And now that you are the greatest band in the world – why not try and write the greatest song in the world, forget it, and then write a tribute to your forgotten genius?

Good – so you’re not going to go flying off the stage any time soon? Not going to monkey bar accross the lighting? Not going to punch your band mates in the face?

Instead you’re going to rock out killer shows like this:

There you have it – rock school 101 from your friendly pals at Bumper!

You’re on the right path now – if you rock out as hard as this – then give us a call for gigs!

See you next week!

Lorne.  =)

END OF THE PIER SHOW

The End of the Pier Show @ Bumper, Hardman Street, Liverpool

Friday the 13th August Doors 10pm – 4am

On Friday the 13th of August The End of the Pier Show is Nigh!

After an extensive refurbishment Bumper plays host to the first of its regular End of the Pier Shows.

A wild night of alternative cabaret with twisted dance floor action – described as “Being flung from a pantyhose catapult into a furry faced midget playing the ukulele in a vat of beer” – bawdy revelry, tumultuous titillation and acts of downright bedevilment await those brave enough to enter our doors

Mixing cabaret, burlesque, comedy and variety in a club night, that juxtaposes up and coming cool with faded tack, grunge and glitz, nipples tassles and ventriloquists, end of the pier meets Kinky Gerlinky, latex, high heels, banjos, sequins and stand up with floor fillers and balloon animals It’s a tale of the unexpected.

Our launch night is literally bursting with surprises and loaded with performances. Sidney Bailey’s no good punchin’ Clowns play their twisted brand of crazy, country, Alabama Swing, making you want to remove your underpants and swing them round your head, joined by legendary compare Ralf ‘Gonzo’ Ganza, the funniest German alive, Magician in residence Rob Child’s death defying stunts, Liverpool’s own Riot Girls, a host of variety and burlesque performers all topped off with a secret gig by a major UK comedy circuit regular and Morf (addictive TV) DJing the city’s wildest club night till 4am – give your somewhere near a hint of what’s on offer.

Unbelievably it’s FREE – so you may have to start queuing now!

Chop, chop, come and see what’s at the End of the Pier!

Friday 13th of August 2010 10pm – 4am @ Bumper, 14 – 18 Hardman Street, L7 7AL
